I read this book shortly after finishing "Tombstones Early Years" by the same author, which I thoroughly enjoyed & fortunately, this book carried on in the same vein.
This book relates each stage in Doc's life & gives a very good insight into his character, what others thought of him & the environment in which he lived.

Myers gives a warm and respectful portrait of Doc. He tries hard to separate man from myth. Although more research has shown some of his assumptions to be wrong, overall it is a good general source of information on Doc, although you will want to update any details. As far as simply a book to read, I enjoyed it thoroughly!

the gentleman outlaw, John Henry (Doc) Holliday? John Myers
Myers wrote Doc Holliday in 1955, and it remains the most
even-handed, ... Read More
