Plug Your Book: Online Book Marketing for Authors, Book Publicity Through Social Networking
Rating: -
I could not wait to get this book when I had read the reviews on Amazon and now I've read it, I have to admit, they were right. I have learnt so much since I read it and I will be reading it again and again.
This must be the best book for the money on the market today. It's full of suggestions and ideas that you just cannot wait to put the things into action. When you do - they work.
I cannot speak more highly about this. Well done Steve Weber.

While this book is helpful, in part, it is also repetitive and overly simplistic. If you are clueless about the internet, social networking and the world of promotion generally then there are useful sections that will assist you in taking shortcuts to ensuring your work is visible to the masses.
The book is geared a little to heavily the US audience, but alot of it is still relevant. Some of the links and how use them (for Amazon) simply no longer exist or don't work, which is frustrating.
If you have any clue about the internet and social networking then this book is a waste of money. If you are not up to speed then it will be a good intoduction to web marketing.
Remember one thing though, all marketing is only as good as the effort put in and the quality of the product.

I read this book from cover to cover. It is packed with great ideas. Of course the online-market is everchanging, but Steve has cleverly allowed for this too.
If you've self-published a book that's only available online then you'll know that the hard part is the selling. This book tells you how.

I've written a novel that is threatening to come out someday, so this book is especially valuable to me. Sure the publisher will do their best to promote it, but they have several other books, most by writers well known, to promote as well, so really, it's up to me to plug my book every chance I can. And that's where this little tome is going to come in handy.
Having been around Amazon for awhile, much of the books secrets, like making Lists and Guides on Amazon, I already knew, but I didn't have a clue about MySpace, blogging or Pod Casting and how they could be used to plug my book.
And if you're an Amazon newbie, than this book is definitely for you, if you have a book you want to plug, that is. Mr. Weber takes you through all the steps you need to get the most out of Earth's Biggest Bookstore. If you've written a book, you gotta get this book.
